Frequently Asked Questions

What do you do, and how do you do it?
Our mission is to raise awareness of dog rescue, and also directly support dog rescue shelters. We are not a shelter ourselves, instead we do the research to find the shelters which will save the most dogs and use the funds the most wisely to get the biggest benefit to our furry friends.

Our Unique Ability is to connect with people who love animals through artist-designed tee shirts. We love not only the creative aspect of it, but the shirts bring the message of dog rescue to the world. Knowing that there are thousands of people wearing our shirts in the world, spreading the message of dog rescue, is tremendously fulfilling!

What kinds of things do you do to achieve your mission?
Our mission is accomplished in two ways, through Sponsorships and Memberships. You can participate in either (or both).
  • Sponsorships are campaigns where 100% of the net proceeds from the campaign go to dog rescue. These funds go directly to feeding and caring for rescue dogs. Most sponsorships are one-time, though you can choose to sponsor on an ongoing basis.
  • Monthly Memberships are how you can participate in our mission on an ongoing basis for both caring for rescue dogs and also ongoing advocacy to solve the dog rescue crisis. Our members are also advocates for dog rescue! Our members get four artist-designed tee shirts per year, and also have their membership fee donate funds for two dogs' meals each month. Membership means you get the shirts that we design. Shipping is free! You can wear your shirts proudly - or gift it to someone to get the word out. The point is to make people aware of the dog rescue crisis!

How do you ensure that charities are getting the funds?
We have created a Donor Advised Fund with Fidelity Charitable, one of the world's largest organizations for charitable giving. Fidelity Charitable ensures that funds are kept appropriately and are only disbursed to 501(c)(3) shelters.

Are you a 501(c)(3) Charity?
The rules for qualifying as a 501(c)(3) are based on IRS regulations. Because we have chosen to sell merchandise and donate proceeds, this does not qualify us for 501(c)(3) tax status. However, as mentioned above funds for donation are managed in a Donor Advised Fund with Fidelity Charitable, which is fully audited and ensures that only proper charities get the donated funds.
